THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR “BAKUMATSU ROCK” EPISODE 1
Greetings one and all!
To say that it has been a while would be an understatement. Around a year without any new content, just what on earth was the author up to over all that time? Well I’ll answer, and I’ll keep it brief. To say that it was a busy time last year would be an understatement. I can safely say that as I write this, it is actually the first time I’ve really had time to get back into blogging again since my last update. A lot has happened since then too. I finished Attack on Titan, so the reaction posts are discontinued in favor of doing a full review in the near future. I finished my 100th anime; End of Evangelion. I watched a multitude of other shows which I would love to talk about, and if you compile all that with my real world responsibilities of college, my job, and various events, it’s been a rather busy time. However, now I can finally sit down and get back to work, and hopefully bring some new and exciting content to the table.
Without further ado, it’s that time of year again, time to discuss the new anime season for Summer 2014. I have to say, that this is the most exciting line-up that I have seen in some time…
I haven’t updated in the longest time, mostly due to being EXTREMELY busy in my real life. You know, that thing I sometimes remember to have when I’m not on the internet.
I’m such a Smosh fan, and I’ve recently been checking out one of their “Shut-Up! Cartoons” called Politicats. It’s about cats and dubstep. That’s about all I can say.
FINALLY getting round to watching this. It’s terrible that I haven’t checked it out, because the first episode was sheer AWESOME! Seriously, they’re break-dancing samurai. Can you get much cooler than that?
I LOVE THE EIGHTIES!!! Be it their fantasy films (I’m talking David Bowie Lycra here!) or their music (Nik Kershaw’s ‘The Riddle‘!) or anything else, the 80s is an era I have always admired. And I wasn’t even born in it! I LOVE THE NINETIES!!! Why? Because without the nineties I wouldn’t exist! HA HA HA!
It’s exactly the same for anime, I love retro anime, and I and many others consider the 80s and the early 90s to be the ‘Golden Age’ of anime. It brought forth my most beloved movie of all time: Akira, after all.
Now after the boom of Akira, everyone wanted to jump on the bandwagon, and this resulted in a slew of cyberpunk anime, primarily focussed on cops, government and lots and lots of violence. This trend continued, thus how we ended up with the most violent anime: Genocyber. Anyway, rewind back to late eighties going into the early nineties, and we end up with Angel Cop.
WARNING: The following review contains MAJOR spoilers for the Angel Cop anime, and mature content. Reader discretion is advised (but admit it, you’re going to read on anyway).
(Just trying to keep my blog active so here’s a fairly pointless post GUYZ)
Anyway, I’ve been on-off writing a story called “Atelier” (pronounced [at-l-yey] ) which is kinda sorta inspired by the game franchise but isn’t very much like it at all. They have berets, there’s some alchemy (no angry short people though) and the main character is called Rorona Totori (see what I did there? *wiggly eyebrows*). Anyway, I was sourcing some pictures for the chapter’s, and I found some really nice wallpapers. Now, not all of them might be big, but spare me, I found them lurking in my “Pictures” folder, so just take what you get.
It’s so popular right now, I swear. It’s like the Sword Art Online of Spring 2013! I thought I would dedicate a post to the memes, cosplay, and other symptoms of “Attack On Titan Fever” on the internet. (I came up with that term all by myself…maybe now senpai will notice me!!!)
I TOLD YOU
What is this, I don’t even….how?
Um…how do I go about this? I guess it’s best to start from the beginning. SPOILERS AHEAD!!
After the success of episodes 1 and 2, its time to see if the rest of the series shapes up…SPOILERS AHOY!
